Directors of higher education have apparently not yet discovered that one day off does not a Fall Break make.
Fortunately for me, I figured it out on my own. Allow me to teach you my ways.
(Please note that some plans need to be adjusted to better suit individual preference. Awesomeness is subjective.)
1. Don't actually go to school unless it's truly necessary.
This point does transfer over to other weeks of the semester. Most Monday's, I find that Physics is not necessary. Rather, Monday is a great day for sleeping in and pretending that responsibility is nonexistent. That also includes homework. All other events take priority over completing assignments. My preferred method of avoidance is going to the theater--musicals trump homework. Every. Day.
Shout out to my favorite friend Lizzie for being my date two nights in a row and enabling my procrastination.
2. Set goals, but don't make plans. That's half of a Preach My Gospel principle.
Not making plans is so LIBERATING. I tend to fill my weekends with things that, half of the time, I don't actually want to be doing. This weekend, that shall NOT happen. I'm learning to say no, and it's wonderful. See? So many things to be learned from a full week of Fall Break!
3. Spend as much time in comfortable clothes as possible.
I try to apply this point every day, but we all know sometimes it just doesn't happen. However, during Fall Break, it's essential. (No, there won't be a photo to illustrate this point. 1, I feel like it's self-explanatory. 2, Never you mind what my cozy clothes look like.)
I have a testimony of Fall Break. When done correctly, it can change your life. I invite you to try it for yourself, because I want everyone to know the joy of living the Fall Break lifestyle.
You're welcome.
