Starting with Thursday night, Mary Poppins. Okay, that was great. Greater than I ever would've expected. We'll go with amazing. Also, I don't think anyone has more fun attending the theatre than I do when I go with Gramma Suz and Cuz PJ. I know people think we're crazy, but we just don't care. Throw in a little Nick and a jolly holiday with our friend Sherry and it equals one excellent night.
Friday night was girls night with Mom and Sarah while the boys were on a campout. A little business dinner at Zupa's and crafts for relief society. Sometimes we're just a little hilarious. After we took Sarah home, we headed over to Bowmans, just for fun? Of course we had to get some donuts, and our friend Ashley gave them to us for free! Ashley, my mom's been talking about you all weekend. She's in love. Rock on.
Next came a party for one very fabulous Becca Rose. While great times were had, I concluded that I probably ought to find some college friends. But. Good times. Heidi and Becca happen to be two of my very favorite friends. Nice little reunification (reunion of best friends).
Saturday brought Bowmans much too early in the morning, but it was nice to have time for a long, much needed nap during the afternoon. That night, we got to go to the stake center to watch the Relief Society session of General Conference. Was that not the most excellent thing ever?? Dear President Uchtdorf, thank you for always saying the most perfect things. You are my favorite (and my grandmother finds you attractive, but no one really needs to know that...).
Today was just grand. I got over 8 hours of sleep. When does that happen? Never.
I got to go to Dalton Facer's farewell, where I saw many more friends and favorite people. Also, you've never experienced a great time in sacrament meeting until you've sat with Becca. Last time, we sang the Battle Hymn of the Republic...with our special words :) Today, we used her iTouch and scrolled around on the page. Also, Becca is an excellent singer. Her tenor + my alto = beautiful hymns.
My dad has been called as our new bishop. I am so excited for him. I think it says a lot about him and I'm really lucky to have such an awesome dad. My mom is awesome too, even if she said that her children are "special." (I turned back to Kevin and said "What the crap does that mean??" "She was talking about Nick." That makes sense :D )
I ended my weekend by talking with my best friend over Skype for an hour and a half. So thankful for modern technology! I really, really, REALLY miss my friends but having things like this (and a lot of texting and letter writing) makes it feel like we aren't so far away
Didn't I say it was an excellent weekend? Excellent indeed. And next weekend? Even better! Who doesn't love conference? I'm excited.
One last question....Sarah Palin, do you read my blog? Just wondering...
Haha you guys are special Kels:) I wish I could have seen that exchange between you and kev kev.
