A muumuu moment.

So Kasey and I only went to Walmart like twice together last week...and maybe one of those times, I bought a sweet as class muumuu. I've always wanted one, it just felt like the right time. And I wore it, from about 7pm last night until 12:45 this afternoon. That's just how I roll.

So this one time, my mom called at about 12:15, when I was curling my hair and watching Friends. She was at work, my little brother had checked him out of school and someone needed to go pick him up. "But Karen, I'm in my muumuu." "It's fine, he won't care, just go." I was totally down with it...until I got to my front door and remembered just how many cars come down this main road that I live on. Le sigh. I waited until a car passed then booked it out to my car...just as the Dickson's were pulling into their driveway. Jake just smiled and waved while I silently cursed for not having gotten out of bed before noon and put on real clothes.

Ahhhh good day.

MOAB.

A nice little weekend in Moab...trippin with the parents because I'm cool like that.
Do enjoy these little iPhone snapshots.

Moab Diner selfie!

Pretending to take a selfie, but actually taking a picture of my dad taking a picture.

Important note. The Bacon Avocado Omelet at the Moab Diner is DELISH. Even two days in a row.

New treat: S'mores, using cookies instead of graham crackers. More chocolate, more deliciousness.

Hint. Don't go camping with Karen. Because she'll take pictures of you while you're sleeping.
I guess my parents are pretty cool.

Clark, G-Money and Grandpa Frank. Cool kids.

Karen building a cairn. That never gets old.

Nature is neat.

False Kiva...not as cool as you want it to be. It's false. And there's no Keva Juice.

Hiking selfie. Classy.

Places to go:
--Upheaval Dome

--The Grand Overlook

--Dead Horse Point

Oh. And don't forget to KICK TRASH in Phase 10.

mistake.

Tuesday night (Wednesday morning): went to sleep around 3:45am, knowing very well that I'd have to wake up at 8:45 to watch Cooper while my mom went to the gym.

Wednesday night (Thursday morning): went to sleep around 12:15, knowing very well that I'd have to wake up at 5:15 in order to be to work by 6:45.

And there I was, nearly falling asleep at the reception desk. WHY? Why do I do this to myself?? Five hours of sleep a night with NO naps?

I don't even know who I am anymore.

False. I know who I am. I'm Tired Kelsey.

Chemistry.

I've never been one for boy drama. If a boy brings drama into my life, they're probably not the one for me.

I took chemistry my sophomore year of high school. Two things:

1. I wasn't very good at chemistry. But shouldn't there be some in a relationship?

2. I still have a crush on one of the kids that was in my class. When will the losers get out of my way so I can just wife that kid? Boldness be my friend, said Shakespeare. If I've learned anything from Tinder, it's that there are a lot of weirdies out there, and that things don't go anywhere if you don't make a move.

Okay. Isaac. Will you go on a date with me? (HAHAHA that's funny because I'm pretty sure the only person that occasionally reads this is Micaille. Sup friend? Could you be a dear and tell Isaac that I'd like to go on a date with him? Kthx.)

Kelsey Richardson, Life Ruiner

Imma have that printed up on some business cards and add that to my address block on my email. It's my new official title.

Pretty sure I've semi-ruined at least two lives in the past week...because I'm classy like that. Look, I'm just trying to live my life. I promise I'm not intentionally being an inconsiderate person. I'm just trying to do what I think is best for me and the people around me. Like, I can't do everything. I can't make sure everyone else's life is perfect. I can't be your girlfriend after only two dates. I can't expand a finite amount of living space. I can't let my life revolve around you.

I'm sorry.

(I'm thinking about doing birthday parties. Please call with inquiries.)

Man crush Monday

It's going down...I'm yelling TINDER.

TINDER DATE. I went on another. Well, we just met for ice cream the first time…but whatever. His name is Tenney, he’s from Huntsville. He’s a tiny bit shorter than me and has a beard, but neither of those are deal breakers. (What is Tinder, you may ask? It’s an app where if you think the person is cute, you swipe right. Totes uggs? Swipe left. If both people swipe right, it’s a match and you can start chatting. It’s something to do, okay?) We’d been chatting for a couple weeks, met up for ice cream so that my parents wouldn’t freak about me going on a date with a complete stranger, then had a little date on Friday. I drove up to Huntsville Friday evening and we went four-wheeling (which I thought we weren’t actually going to do because it was kind of late, so I was wearing flip flops and had to borrow some snow boots…aca-awkward) up behind his house. Huntsville is SO pretty, I love it. We had a pretty good time, even though Tenney kept asking if I was doing okay and stuff…maybe he was nervous about me not liking it or something, but it was fun. Afterwards, he cooked (burned) a pizza…not the most delicious thing, but it was pretty funny…then we watched Here Comes the Boom. His dog knocked my soda over with its tail, Tenney and I sat reeeeeally close together…our arms were touching, but that was it, and then he gave me a side hug when he walked me to my car. Like, what? I’m not sure. Maybe we’re just friends. We haven’t talked much since…strange experience. But it was fun enough anyway.
