a week's worth of fun!

Sorry I'm slow...
We just have too much fun celebrating our holidays and I forget to blog about it...something like that.
I apologize for the length and excessive pictures...maybe I'll reward you with a story if you make it to the end?

Almond Roca is delicious. And SUPER EXPENSIVE. In case you weren't aware.
But...still worth it.
Allow me to quote my Aunt Alison, regarding buttercrunch:
"So, making some buttercrunch tomorrow? Whatever that is. No way it's tastier than this [in reference to our peanut butter popcorn]. Maybe it's the crunchy bits of tast that get in the butter after you rub it on your toast- straight from the fridge- cause you didn't have the foresight to bring your butter to room temperature?"
Um...sure Alison. Sure it is.

I hugged my little brother. That was weird. But it only has to happen once a year, right? :)

Oreo and I had a pretty deep Q and A session. It went something like this...
Oreo: "Can I get down?"
Me: "No, it's question time. What do you want to ask?"
Oreo: "Can I go outside?"
Me: "Nope. What else?"
Oreo: "Can I have some Greenies?"
Me: "Well...I guess...but only if you'll answer my questions after."
Oreo: "Can I get down?"

I guess this isn't much different from any other day...

Our yummy chocolate pie!! Thanks Bowmans :)
My fam wouldn't do the measurin feet thing, so I made them write "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" on a piece of paper so we can cherish our handwriting forever...or something like that :)

We tried to figure out why we appreciate beer cans. What would we put beer in without the cans? Well, bottles...cups...but I guess cans are cool. I mean really, it makes such a difference for me...whatevs.

Micaille: "Are you celebrating by being opposite of Macintosh day and PCing it up in your very own bedroom?"
...it's like she knows me or something...

This is our Mac :) Hi there Mac!

Okay...I failed. I didn't eat peanut brittle. Or discuss Australia or talk with an accent. And I don't have a spouse. So. Next up...

Chocolate cake day :) We're fans!

And you can get your very own mini cake for only 2.99 at Smiths. Not bad at all!

Oh boy, was this fun. Here's a tip: go to the party store the week between Christmas and New Years. Everything is on sale...including Christmas kazoos :)

Well congrats! You made it to the end! You're a peach :)
Hmm...a story. Well maybe you'd like to read something about school? Or maybe my love life? Oh, I think we'd all love a story about that. Unfortunately, no such thing exists.

Hmm...story...

Hows about a video instead? This is much more entertaining than a story about my life could ever be...

Remember how I said I'd vote for the Garlick guy just because his name reminded me of bread? I'd almost vote for this guy just because of this video, even if he has nothing to do with it. Do enjoy, kids.

forever in blue jeans

Say hello to fabulous popcorn. (Hello fabulous popcorn!!) We found a little treasure...this one:

YES. Reese's peanut butter popcorn. We made it. And it's DELISH. Recipe here: http://www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/reeses-peanut-butter-cup-popcorn/

Blue jeans. I wear them every day. I cry when they rip or wear out. They are my absolute favorites. Don't they deserve a holiday? I sure think so.

Also, Neil Diamond. Forever in Blue Jeans. Favorite song...possibly ever.

a plethora of terms

Please watch this. Right now.

Now tell me you didn't cry from laughing so hard.

Winnie the Pooh. Sigh. I love it SO much. And the newest movie is only an hour long...so maybe I watched it twice? It's certainly justified...right?

Please tell me you've read the book. I did. You can read about it...if you want...right here:

Judgement day?

Not to ditch! Despite the fact that I suck at posting these every day, we're still celebrating our holidays, so go team.

As far as judgement day goes...we weren't sure what that meant? Like, the final judgement day? Good thing that didn't happen! Because I might've had some...negative thoughts towards some people. And I might've judged them...but only a little. Or a lot. Back story? Don't mind if I do.

I was just chillin out at the JAZZ GAME with the fam and my BFF Bailey :) We were having a grand old time, eating ice cream, creepin on people and occasionally watching basketball, when I reached down to get something out of my purse, that just happened to be covered in BEER. Holler. The idiots behind us (how is it that I always get stuck by loud drunk people?) spilled their beer and didn't even say anything. I mean, how hard is it to lean up to the person in front of you and say "Hey. I spilled my beer. And it's now covering your cute purple bag and your awesome red TOMS. Just thought you'd like to know." Apparently it's real difficult. So. I judged them. Micaille, I'm sorry I went against our motto. It's just hard to love someone who spilled their crap on my stuff. I'll try to forgive them...maybe.

Let's play catch up!

Sorry for the slacking... I have a lot of excuses lined up but none of them are good enough, so let's just move on.

Mr. Larsen was my 11th grade English teacher. He told us that if we ever needed someone to blame something on, we could just use him. And I do. All the time. Thanks Tim :)

I was trying to put a scarf and cute sunglasses on the cat but he would not have it.
I also tried to start cleaning my room, which has to happen before it gets organized. Let's just call that a work in progress.

My mother and I attempted to take some pictures with hats on. Um...yeah. Those didn't turn out too cute, so you don't get to see those.
We had Kevin and Kassi over for dinner, my mom called feeding the poor our humanitarian act for the day :)
We definitely went to church! I'm so grateful to live in a place where we can worship freely. It's great :)

I didn't do anything today :) Okay, that's a lie, I did lots of stuff. But I didn't go to work or school so I think that counts.

feast of fabulous wild men day

(Another) confession: I'm really not as good at this celebrating thing as I want to be. I mean, it's real fun. But I'm just not good at coming up with stuff to do. I mean, Feast of Fabulous Wild Men Day?? What am I supposed to do? I'm bending this one...I went to the musical revue. Tim Hansen playing the harmonica and David Steed singing Hair. If that isn't a feast of fabulous wild men, then I don't know what is.

I...didn't go visit Kurt. But I thought about him a lot. He's a real cool guy. Even if he does drink Pepsi. He's cool.

Heads up: Tomorrow is Blame Someone Else Day. So. Everyone be thinkin about Tim Larsen. I'll give the back story later. But, should anything go wrong? Blame him.

no smoking!!

Does anyone remember Ramona Quimby? The part where she's trying to get her dad to stop smoking and she makes that sign, NOSMO KING? It's a good book, I promise.

Anyway, I have something fantastic to announce. I quit smoking today. I invite you to applaud.

There was a man smoking outside Elizabeth Hall today. I so bad wanted to yell that cigarettes are harmful to his health, but something told me that was a bad idea...so I just screamed it in my mind as I inhaled his fumes. It's not my fault if he wants to die.

Remember: cigarettes are a lot like hamsters, perfectly harmless until you put one in your mouth and light it on fire.
