Perhaps this is insignificant...

...but today was a big day. I lit a match for the first time. Several matches, actually.

Okay, there's no perhaps. That is definitely insignificant. But, coming from a person who's rather afraid of fire (as well as heights, spiders, bees, and the like), it was a pretty big step.

I look forward to the day when I will be able to light candles on a cake and fireworks in my driveway.

Oh, and good news. As a result of this little event, my paracord will no longer fray.
