Homecoming

This year was my first time going to Homecoming, and it was a blast! I went with Nate Howes, and his twin brother, Nick, asked my friend Brooke. Basically, it was a party. I forgot my camera on Friday night, so the only documentation of our day activity is our mini golf score card. It's a shame that none of us are really good at mini golfing. After our game, we had dinner at the Pie Pantry then went to the intense Davis vs. Northridge game, which we definitely won, then finished off the night with Yogotogo.

On Saturday night, after my fabulous sister-in-law did my hair and make-up, we walked around Barnes Park, waiting for the rest of our group and taking pictures. We had dinner at a boy's house then went to the dance! It was so much fun! I was glad to be with good friends because it's so much easier to just relax and party it up! After the dance, we went and watched (or in my case, slept through) Prince of Persia. It may have been a good movie? Anyway, it was just a lot of fun, I'm glad I could go!

More Wedding Pics

Basically, here's my story. I'm too lazy to download and upload these pictures, so I'm just going to post a link instead. Seems so much simpler. So this is the link to Kevin and Kassi's page on Terra Cooper's blog, and if you go all the way to the bottom, there are a couple links for more of their pictures. Do enjoy!

Bowman's Shoppers!

It is true, I work at Bowman's. Oh, it's a joy. I've been working there since August of 2008 and after perfecting the art of facing, I moved up to a checker in June. For those who don't know, facers are the fabulous people who pull everything to the edge of the shelf and make it look pretty. It's a glorified position. The flexible hours were nice, but the lack of hours...wasn't so nice. That's one good thing about checking, you get more hours, which means more money. However, I've realized something. Work is lame. I would so rather be hanging out with my friends than standing in a grocery store. And guess what? It turns out that all grown ups do is work. How is that even fun? I so don't want to be a grown up. I told that to my mom and she said "Hmmm...You shoulda thought of that before you decided to be born." Yeah, thanks, Buddy.

Things I don't like about my job...
---Long shifts with nowhere to sit
---I have to do math...in the middle of the summer...I can barely do it during school, how can I do it during the summer??
---I actually have to work...what is this?!
Things I like about my job...
---Money...not a bad thing to have
---I occasionally feel productive after I get home
---I get to see TONS of people! Sometimes my friends and family will come if they know I'm working, I'm getting to know people that I see all the time, and every once in a while I'll see someone I haven't seen in a long time and it just makes my day. It actually makes working worth it.

This One's For The Girls!

As we were driving around in Anna's car tonight, I realized how far we've come. Anna, Emily B, Emily S, and Kelsey. Five years ago, we drove around in Suzanne Wright's car listening to Shania Twain. "Man, I Feel Like a Woman!" is still one of my all-time favorite songs. The best part was when Emily would yell out "I like short skirts!" Classic.

Emily and I have been friends since I moved to Kaysville fourteen years ago. So many memories and jokes, good times. She's so hilarious, that Muchacho. I'm pretty sure I've spent more time with her than any of my other friends and I know we'll be friends for eternity.

Emily South. Okay, so maybe we didn't get along so well during elementary school...but now we're buddies! She is so smart and pretty, I just love her! We share a common obsession...school. We love school! We're nerds :D

Anna. We may have hated each other for a year and we may still have our moments, but who doesn't love Anna? She's freakin gorgeous, always good for a trip to McDonalds or Walmart...she's a fun one to have around.
These girls. We've been through a lot together. I hate that we have to grow up and move on. Anna's already going off to college, and in one more year, the Emily's and I will do the same. I really don't know how I'll survive without them. So I'll just enjoy them while I've got them, driving around in Anna's car, listening to everything, especially Shania, David Archuleta and Kelly Clarkson--"Cause we belong together now, forever united here somehow. You've got a piece of me, and honestly, my life would suck (lollipop) without you!!!" I love you ladies!!

How am I supposed to brush my teeth when you're in my sink?

This would be my cat, Oreo. Growing up, I always wanted a cat but I'm not sure why. It turns out that cats are kind of stupid. Maybe not all cats, but this one. Oreo and I have not always gotten along, but as we've kind of grown up together, we're getting to be better friends. I let him sleep on my bed (or apparently in my sink) and he doesn't bite me so much anymore. However, he does love throwing up on your floor while you're trying to sleep. Anyway, the other night, I went into my bathroom to brush my teeth, and there he was, just having a little nap. After taking this picture, I made him get out, so he sat at the edge of the sink and watched the water go down the drain as he waited for me to be done. Get a life, cat! However, he does plan on serving a mission... Doesn't he look great in a tie?

And he does read his scriptures...

He is a pretty great cat, and I mostly like him. I might be a little sad when I move out or he dies or somethin.
